723chatoNne⤴ will hold her 3rd oneman show. This time it will be a no audience show which will be streamed via twitcast! We asked her a few questions to introduce her music, which gives us a good reason to watch her live show on October 31st.
Hello 723chatoNne⤴️ please tell your readers who you are.
Hello, I am “mourning singer” 723chatoNne⤴️(Natsumi Chatonne).
currently I’m mainly active in Tokyo, if the current global situation will calm down a little bit more, more activity will be revived!
All songs I sing are with a “classical motif”. And the theme of my lyrics are with a “Malice aforethought” feeling. Along with that, the theme of my costume is “mourning”.
Please tell us how you became a singer.
I usued to do some group activites, but after I graduated I wished to express feelings which I only could express myself.
Please tell us something more about the origin of your stage name 723chatoNne⤴️
I was originally active as “723” ナツミ na(7七) tsu(2つ) mi(3三) (Natsumi). Chatonne means “kitten” in French. I added “Chatonne” because I’ve been called “cat-like-woman” for a long time. The arrow ⤴️ represents the cat’s tail.
What made you decided to choose “Mourning single” as a concept?
Because of my radial personality (smile). I always wanted to make lyrics with the theme of murder. When I proposed it to the staff and my producer, our conversation got more and more excited and we decided on a classic sound motif and a mourning outfit.
What makes you feel alive?
That my fans say “I’m a Natsuminist!
Please tell us some nice words about your MV’s 待って待ってちょっと待って & 裏切りの爪痕
My first MV “待って待ってちょっと待って” Just when I wanted to shoot a rainy scene, it rained! It was a miracle!
My second MV 裏切りの爪痕 this MV is directed by myself also the whole atmosphere was created by myself. I guess I was able to express the worldview of 723chatoNne⤴️ (Natsumi Chatonne) well.
What are your future goals?
Playing at Budokan!
It seems that there will be a one-man live stream will be aired by TwitCast on october 31, please tell us some words and also convince us why we should watch it.
I really wanted to hold a show at a venue, but because of the current global situation I decided to do a live show for the first time wihout an audience. It’s pitful that you cann’t experience the show in person, but I’m going to give my very best to stay postive and that those who live far away and those we aren’t able to come to my shows (yet) have the oppertunity to watch my show too! So please tune in! I won’t let you regret it!
What’s the power of your live shows?
You can see a world which only can been expressed by a mourning singer, you will be able to watch my show as you were watching a movie or never have seen something like that before at any live show.
