美しき4人組ロックバンド・LUMiRiSEをご紹介します。
■ 自己紹介をお願いします。
琴海: 暴れんVo琴海です。最近はポケモンカードあつめにはまってます。
来未: ギター来未です。最近赤ワインブームです！
おと: ベースおとです！お酒大好き！いつでもお誘いお待ちしてます！
MIZukI: ドラムのみずきです。好きな焼き魚はホッケです。最近ホッケしか食べてない。
■ 現在、担当されているパートを選ばれた理由をお聞かせください。
琴海: ちっさい時からカラオケが大好きで良くお母さんに褒められてました！笑楽器はできません！
来未: 親の車からマキシマムザホルモンCDを発見してメンバーの上ちゃんに憧れてギター初めました。でも後々あれはベースだったんだと気づきました笑
おと: 最初はギターをはじめたんですがFが押さえられず弦の少ないベースにしました。
MIZukI: 憧れのドラマー淳二さんのプレイに感銘をうけ、こんなふうに叩けたら気持ちいだろいなぁと思い始めました。
■ 皆さんを笑顔にするものは何ですか？
琴海: 金と男(ジョーダンですっ笑)
来未: 人に頼られた瞬間です！
おと: 酒とたばこ(ジョーダンですっ笑)
MIZukI: 犬。まぁ最近はしんぱち食堂ですかねぇ
■ 好きな日本のマスコットキャラクターはいますか？
琴海: ゴマゾウ
来未: ちみたん

■ 琴海さんが加入してから、この1年でバンドとして一番大きく変わったことは何だと思いますか？
来未: バンド感の強さ
おと: ステージを破壊されること
MIZukI: 汗の量
■琴海さんへ。大阪という名古屋から距離の離れた場所から参加することへの不安もあったかと思いますが、どのように解消されましたか？
琴海: 愛は距離では測れない…
■ 座右の銘や大切にされている言葉があれば教えてください。
琴海:「ヤりたいようにヤれ」
来未:「人の夢は終わらねェ!!!」
おと:「心配事の8割は起こらない。」
MIZukI:「なんとかなる」

■ バンド名の由来と意味を教えてください。
LUMiRiSE: フランス語の「Luminosite」=輝きと英語の「Rise」＝上昇を合わせた造語になっています。
■ 皆さんの出会いと、LUMiRiSEがどのように結成されたのか経緯を教えてください。
LUMiRiSE: 楽器隊は同じ専門学校での出会いです！ ボーカルの琴海はみずきちゃんがXからナンパしました笑
■ バンド活動をする上で、最も楽しいことは何ですか？
琴海: ライブ
来未: 各地のご飯を食べれる事
おと: ライブ
MIZukI: ライブ
■ 毎回のビジュアルは、どのように決められていますか？
来未: ざっくりイメージを決めてそれぞれ好きな要素足したりしてます！
おと: その時の時代の”あれ”を取り入れています。
MIZukI:トレンドちゃう？笑
■ これまでLUMiRiSEが直面した一番大変だったことは何ですか？それをどのように乗り越えましたか？
琴海: RESOLVERのMV撮影です。根性でどうにかしました。
来未: 前ボーカル脱退の時です。この世の終わりくらい絶望してました。全員で前に進もうという気持ちと時間が少しずつ乗り越えられるきっかけになっていきました。
おと: 渋滞で本番時間に到着したことです！気合いで出ました。
MIZukI: ライブの日に食中毒になったことです。オムツ履きました。
■ LUMiRiSEとして多くのライブをされています。ステージに立つとどんな気持ちになりますか?
琴海: 毎回今日が命日だと思ってます。

LUMiRiSE: これからの活動に大きな可能性をかんじます。
■ 日本に来たことのないファンの中には、ライブのために訪日を考える方もいると思います。2ショットチェキについて教えてください。すべてのライブで可能なのか、それとも特別なイベントでのみ実施しているのでしょうか？

MIZukI:これからのLUMiRiSEから目を離さないでください！
With Kotomi as the new lead singer, the band is moving forward to a new stage.
This is the four-piece rock band LUMiRiSE.
■ Please introduce yourselves.
Kotomi: I’m Kotomi, the wild vocalist! I’ve recently become obsessed with collecting Pokémon cards.
Kurumi: I’m Kurumi, the guitarist.I’m currently in a phase where I’m only drinking red wine.
Oto: I’m Oto, the bassist. I love drinking! I’m always up for a drink, so invite me!
MIZukI: I’m Mizuki, the drummer. My favorite type of grilled fish is hokke(Atka mackerel). Lately, I’ve been eating nothing but it.
■ Why did you choose your current part in the band?
Kotomi: I’ve loved karaoke since I was little, and my mom always praised me for it! (Laughs.) But I can’t play any instruments.
Kurumi: I found a Maximum the Hormone CD in my parents’ car and was inspired by their guitarist, Ue-chang-san. Thanks to him, I started playing the guitar. Later, I realized that he was actually the bassist! (Laughs.)
Oto: I started with the guitar, but I couldn’t play the F chord. That’s why I switched to the bass; it has fewer strings.
MIZukI: I was deeply moved by my idol drummer Junji-san’s playing style and thought, “It’d feel amazing to play like that,” so I started.
■ What makes you all smile?
Kotomi: Money and men (just kidding! laugh).
Kurumi: The moment someone relies on me!
Oto: Booze and cigarettes (just kidding! lol).
MIZukI: Dogs. Well, lately, it’s probably the restaurant Shinpachi Shokudo.
■ Do you have a favorite Japanese mascot character?
Kotomi: Gomazou (Phanpy (pokemon)).
Kurumi: Chimitan.
Oto: Toro.
MIZukI: My friend Kuma.
■ Since Kotomi joined, what do you think is the biggest change for the band over the past year?
Kurumi: The band’s sense of unity.
Oto: The stage is getting destroyed.
MIZukI: The amount of sweat.
■ To Kotomi: You must have had some concerns about joining as a person from Osaka, which is far from Nagoya. How did you overcome it?
Kotomi: Distance can’t measure love.
■ Please share your motto or a phrase you hold dear.
Kotomi: “Do it the way you want.”
Kurumi: “A person’s dream never ends!!!”
Oto: “Eighty percent of what you worry about never happens.”
MIZukI: “Things will work out somehow.”

■ What’s the origin and meaning of the band’s name?
LUMiRiSE: It’s a made-up word combining the French word “luminosité” (meaning “shine” or “brightness”) and the English word “rise.”
■ How did you meet, and how was LUMiRiSE formed?
LUMiRiSE: The members met at the same music school.
But, our vocalist, Kotomi, was “scouted” by Mizuki on X. (Laughs.)
■ What’s the most enjoyable part of being in a band?
Kotomi: Live performances.
Kurumi: Eating local food in different places.
Oto: Live performances.
MIZukI: Live performances.
■ How do you decide on your visuals for each performance?
Kurumi: First, we come up with a rough concept, and then we each add our favorite elements!
Oto: We incorporate whatever is trendy at the time.
MIZukI: Trends, right? lol
■ What was the toughest challenge LUMiRiSE has faced, and how did you overcome it?
Kotomi: The “RESOLVER” music video shoot was rough. We powered through with sheer grit.
Kurumi: When our previous vocalist left, it felt like the end of the world. It felt like the end of the world. However, our desire to move forward together, coupled with the passage of time, helped us overcome it.
Oto: We arrived at the venue just in time for the show due to a traffic jam. We powered through on adrenaline.
MIZukI: I got food poisoning on the day of a live show. I wore diapers.
■ How do you feel when you’re on stage?
Kotomi: I feel like every day could be my last.
Kurumi: It’s like, “Here it comes, here it comes, HERE IT COMES ⤴”
Oto: Super. Freaking. Excited.
MIZukI: By the time I realize it, it’s already over—a total blackout.

■ What’s the concept or theme of ≠encore.?
LUMiRiSE: “Life is a one-time show, it doesn’t have an encore.”
■ Please tell us something from the “RESOLVER” MV shoot.
Kotomi: It was pretty tough… laugh
Kurumi: I wore colored contact lenses for so long that I could barely see anymore. I was the driver that day, too! (Laughs)
Oto: There were dead fish floating around!!
MIZukI: Our equipment got covered in dust and sand lol.
■ Please tell us something about the lyrics of your latest song, “Mikansei LIFE”.
Kotomi: The lyrics connect the farewells from our previous bands with the new encounters we’ve had since then.
■ Any interesting points about the “Mikansei LIFE” MV shoot?
LUMiRiSE: It’s a compilation of our “Jump Out LUMiRiSE” tour! It’s full of real, unfiltered LUMiRiSE!

■ How do your fans influence your music and activities?
Kotomi: They are my ultimate source of energy. Thank you!

■ When do you feel a sense of unity with fans during live shows?
Kotomi: When their eyes and sweat are sparkling.
Kurumi: When I see their amazing expressions.
Oto: When they’re shouting along.
MIZukI: During the ending of “Mikansei LIFE.”
■ LUMiRiSE is popular overseas as well. How do you feel about the reactions from international fans?
LUMiRiSE: This makes us feel that our future international activities have huge potential.
■ Some fans who’ve never been to Japan might consider visiting for a live show. Tell us about two-shot cheki photos. Are they available at every show, or only at special events?
LUMiRiSE: They’re currently available at all live shows!

LUMiRiSE: Our goal is to grow our fan base and become Japan’s number one girls’ band!

Kotomi: Still performing “SHOOTER” at 60!
