BAND SEARCH – METALIC

METALIC is formed by Kenichi Fujisaki, who has gone through many bands and units. The band “METALIC” can been seen as a “life work”. The members of the band aren’t limited to just one genre, styles and categories. They create music and perform live performances based on the members’ ideas of what is “AMAZING“.

{BIOGRAPHY}

Formed in January 2018.
藤崎賢一 (KENICHI FUJISAKI)（Vocal & Guitar：Justy-Nasty／ex CRAZE）taked to Seishiro (セイシロー) （Bass：THE SODOM PROJECT／ex STRAWBERRY FIELDS） and invited female drummer ぎゅう (GYUH)(ex-シトクロム) and started activities.

Fujisaki and Seishiro were old friends before their debut, After Fujisaki 50th birthday live in 2017, both started to have contact again which led to the formation of METALIC. GYUH has been a LIVE Staff member since the reunion of Justy-Nasty and so Fujisaki asked her to be a member of METALIC too. In May 2020, Seishiro left due personal reasons.

Currently METALIC is seeing and recruiting formal members to continue further activities.

{BANDNAME MEANING/ORIGIN}

Named by Fujisaki.
Intuition. I liked the sound and the inorganic, gritty image.
The name has no particular meaning.

{CONCEPT & STYLE}

At the moment, at the time when a song comes to our mind, we create that song which we have faith in.

Fujisaki: It’s an impulsive album that combines the roughness and precision.

GYUH: Even though the band just was formed, all the songs were born naturally. This work does answer the question “What exactly is METALIC?”

Fujisaki: Live performances are very important for rock bands.

GYUH: METALIC is a band that gets reborn with each live performance, However this DVD contains a LIVE that only could be performed at that time and day.

Fujisaki: I’ve mixed this album myself, it turned into a very emotional work. Even further doors have been opened.

GYUH: It’s a very lively album. We have recorded and mixed it ourselves, it turned into a wonderful memorable piece of packaging for the sound we created.
